Luxation of the Ac Joint of the shoulder. Traumatic origin. Most used are 2 classifications: Rockwood (the extensive one) and Tossy. If the ligaments between processus coracoideus and clavicula are ruptured and consequently the clavicula lifts higher than the acromion, surgical reduction should be indicated.
There are different surgery possibilities:
- K-wire reduction of AC-joint and wiring
- Artificial ligaments (LARS or Tigth rope)
Often with the lesion of the AC-joint you can have an association with other lesions: exclude lesions of the rotator cuff! Often in the acute phase this is difficult - but when you start with functional movement - sonografic control is possible (if there are clinical symptoms). Check the rotator cuff before operation of AC-joint ! (if possible ...)
